Gunpla Build - High Grade Char's Gelgoog (Build) 2026-01-10

Just looking at this spread, I’m seeing some good things:

I’m seeing multiple parts just for the feet alone. I’m seeing a Beam Rifle that looks like it’s almost entirely made out a single piece of plastic. And I’m seeing multiple color separated thrusters. This is all good!

But I’m also seeing some potential issues regarding color accuracy. Let’s dive in and see what we’re up against.

Can I be real a second? For just a millisecond?

Sometimes I’ll see that a big chain store - Walmart, Target, Barnes and Noble - is selling Gunpla, and I’ll buy one not because I’m particularly enamored with the mobile suit in question, but simply to vote with my wallet.

This is one of those times:

I’ve built Gelgoog variants before, and I quite liked them. But the original Gelgoog has never been one of my favorites. Now, join me as I try to build it, and maybe even learn to love it.

Gunpla Build - Real Grade God Gundam (Belated Photos) 2025-12-30

I’m so sorry it took me so long to shoot these G Gundam models. First it was Dragon Gundam and now it’s God Gundam.

Though interestingly, the reasons for both delays are different. For Dragon, ultimately the problem was that it was too much of a pain in the ass to properly pose. In the case of God Gundam, the problem is that it’s so pretty that I was too afraid I might break something.

Christmas Haul 2025-12-26

Christmas has come and gone, and my whole family was sick! But we still managed to make the most of it, and right now I”m feeling well enough to share my Christmas haul:

While I do sometimes get Star Wars kits as gifts, I don’t normally get Gunpla, because nobody in my family knows which ones I do or don’t have. That’s perfectly fine with me, because it usually means that instead I’ll get all sorts of accessories and tools that I wouldn’t have considered getting for myself. It’s more fun to experiment and try new things when the cost is free.
