Sometimes you run across a model that’s special. Or unique. Or interesting. Or weird. Or maybe a combination of all these things.
I feel like that’s what we’ve got here today with the High Grade Moon Gundam:
I have so much to say about this thing. So much so that I feel compelled to break this up into multiple intro posts. These days I normally only do that for Master Grades, but like I said, this one is special.
That being said, I’ll use the rest of this post to give you the TL:DR in case you want or need all the details.
- The Moon Gundam comes from a manga of the same name
- It is technically a Neo Zeon mobile suit with a Gundam head slapped onto it.
- It’s not really used or controlled by Neo Zeon, but rather an independent third party who mainly uses it to protect people from each other.
- Moon Gundam has funnels, but they’re not weapons in the traditional sense. They’re literally giant metal plates that can be used as a shield, or a sword, or as a blunt instrument.
- This kit is often called the “King of the High Grades”, as it has a level of detail and quality that is above and beyond most HGs, to the point where it almost feels like a Real Grade model.
There’s your TL:DR. For everyone who wants to dig a little deeper, I’ll see you in the next post(s).
